There will be no bridge on the following dates:
Monday 25 December
Tuesday 26 December
Friday 29 December

There WILL be a game on Wednesday 27 December. Normal sessions resume from Monday I January.

The Committee has recently made a decision to try & cut down on the use of polystyrene cups.
From the beginning of the year, members are encouraged to bring their own mug. Polystyrene cups will still be available, but at a cost of $1 payable by means of an honesty system. A container for these payments will be found in the kitchen.
Please do not leave your mug at the Club. We don't want a return to the old problem of lots of dirty mugs left on the kitchen counter with the same people always doing the washing up.
Thanks for your cooperation.

There WILL be a game on Tuesday night as usual. Any rumours that the game has been cancelled are not true.
Supervised bridge, however, will not be on.

Full details can be found in the attachment below.

Congratulations to Margaret Gidley-Baird for winning the Clare.
Runners up were June Herbert, 2nd & Peter Brooke, 3rd.
Thanks to all participants for taking part in this annual event.
Many thanks to our director, Peter. The event required a lot of work by Peter in terms of organising the seating in an equitable fashion, managing a large field on the day & scoring the event afterwards.
For the full results, please see the attachment below.

The Committee is aware that there is a problem with parking, particularly on Mondays. This appears to be the result of commuters having discovered the upper car park. The Committee is confident that this matter will soon be rectified.
However, in the meantime, members should know that the Council has received a complaint from the preschool about bridge players using its car park. Council rangers will be monitoring the situation & fines will be issued for unauthorised parking in the preschool car park.
