The continuing presence of coronavirus, COVID-19, is causing a great deal of anxiety in the community.
At HHBC, we're aware of the uncertainty this has caused for many of our players. We've placed signage around the Club, reminding players about the basics of good hygiene. We ask everyone to adhere to this practice.
As well, because of our demographic , we need to ensure that everything possible is done to minimise any spread of the virus.
Therefore, we request that all players at the Club:
- Practice good hygiene when handling everything at the Club. Wash your hand properly and frequently . Use the hand sanitizer as needed, especially before & after touching the cards. Bring your own hand sanitizer if possible, but sanitizer is available at the Club for everyone to use.
- If you have any symptoms similar to those of COVID-19 e.g. fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath, DO NOT ATTEND THE CLUB.
- As a precaution, we ask that all members who've travelled overseas & might have come in contact with the virus to stay at home for 14 days before returning to bridge. The at risk countries have been identified by NSW Health & to date, NZ has not been included.
- Bring your own cups, pens etc if you can, as this might help to reduce or eliminate a spread of the disease. If you don't have your own pen, just take the same HHBC pen with you from table to table during the session.
These are all simple precautions we can take which might enable us to continue enjoying our sessions at the Club. We'll keep everyone informed if there are any changes in information from the Health & Government authorities.
